Make a Difference Day Projects

Make a Difference Day is a national day of service first organized by USA WEEKEND magazine in 1992 and later joined by Points of Light, the world's largest organization dedicated to volunteer service. Today, Make a Difference Day is considered the largest national day of community service.

The McDonough Leadership Program participates in Make a Difference Day through the Office of Civic Engagement, which helps leadership students organize and implement projects throughout the community. Through their projects, McDonough Scholars further develop their leadership skills -- project management, teamwork, and communication.
