UT Conference

Every year, the McDonough Center is invited to send students to the Hatton W. Summers Undergraduate Student Leadership Conference, organized by the Center for Ethical Leadership in the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs (The University of Texas at Austin). The main purpose of this conference is to develop the leadership potential of current students in higher education.

  • Lieutenant General (Canada, retired) Romeo Dallaire: "Leadership Lessons and Leadership Failures" (General Dallaire commanded the United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda - UNAMIR)

2010 Keynote Speaker:

  • Mary Robinson (The first female president of Ireland, 1990-1997; former United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, 1997-2002)
